The TI team has extensive experience with developing and implementing risk-informed inservice inspection (RI-ISI) programs for nuclear power plants. In the past, this team has implemented RI-ISI programs for 16 reactor units at 9 nuclear power plant sites in the U.S. to gain regulatory acceptance for an average 70% net reduction of ASME Section XI weld exams for Class 1 and 2 piping systems. Owner/operator costs for such RI-ISI programs were recovered within an average of 2 refueling periods.
Recently, this team was instrumental in establishing a RI-ISI program at South Africa’s Koeburg Nuclear Power Station.
